Point of View / Random or Specific / Which is it?

"Day and night", from outer space.

Photographed by the Space Shuttle Columbia on its final mission, January 2003.

Wow! Point of view makes a big difference. The facts, or at least the reality, about this picture are the same where ever you are standing, but depending on where you are standing the conclusions will be very different. "

Another Thought

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.
-Benjamin Franklin, 1706 - 1790

This thought reminded me of
working hard to remain, as Franklin
put it "stupid.
"The trouble with this country is that there are too many people going about saying,
'The trouble with this country is....'" -Sinclair Lewis, 1885 - 1951

( it just seems to lead nowhere)

It has been interesting to create this "second post". Day two. Just some "random specific thoughts". I feel like having come to New Mexico, after a lifetime being somewhere else, I have found myself in space looking at things so very differently. Before it seemed as plain as "night or day" but now I see that it was really neither. Reality is not the line across the Earth but the "beauty of the Earth". Not the point of view but the "view itself".

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year

Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1803 1882.

(if your checking in, see you tomorrow)
