Maybe Random Specific Thoughts are an Autobiography


It has been a busy day. Busy month, Busy few years.
It is of course good to be busy. Thank goodness for work. On the other hand it would be nice to be on this boat. Of course that is me sitting in the middle of the boat. You can see the outline, can't you?
I have always liked William F. Buckley, Jr. I like his voice. I like his use of words and is tone and the way he has of using his entire body and soul to make his points. I like the age I see in his face. I don't think I am as conservative as he is but I don't think he is as conservative as he seems.
I have liked his books on Sailing. He has a lot to say about life and his life in his books on sailing.

"I will not write, ever, a formal autobiography," declares Buckley in his Introduction

I enjoyed, Miles Gone By. The comment above found in his introduction caught my attention. His approach to his subjects are not formal. His comments are not formal. Why should his autobiography be formal.

Mr. Mike is my preferred political analyst. Course a analyst is one that is skilled in analysis. Interesting, Buckley's Jr vs his son's points of view.
